with numerous dance companies, across the United States. Mr. Johnson has been held in the highest
regard by dance critics of major news papers and magazines such as The New York Times, New York Daily
News, The New York Post, Los Angeles Times, The Washington Post, The Washington Times, Dance
Magazine, Back Stage and other publications around the world. His television credits include Dance
Theatre of Harlem’s Creole Giselle, Basketball/Dance for Sports Illustrated, the PBS-Children’s Television
Workshop’s Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood and Sesame Street, as well as many television commercials. Mr.
Johnson’s Broadway credits include The Metropolitan Opera production of Porgy and Bess and the Joseph
Papp/Shubert Organization’s A Celebration of Paul Robeson. Mr. Johnson has been the recipient of many
grants and awards including two Grand Awards for choreography in 2001 and 2004 and the Trailblazer
Giant Award for his work in education. By special invitation, he has been a guest lecturer at both Columbia
University in New York and Grand Valley State University in Michigan. In addition to being co owner of PT
Arts Consulting Mr. Johnson serves as a faculty member at Grand Rapids Community College, Theatre
Department . He also works with local public schools in Grand Rapids and Muskegon helping to find new
ways to educate through the arts and now aviation. He maintains a busy schedule with theatre groups and
schools in the west Michigan area, making it possible to further his mission of bringing innovative
educational programs to as many students in the West Michigan community as possible.
Otto Hooks, Vice President: Mr. Hooks has over 45 years of experience as a
pilot. Educated at Laney Community College then on to San Francisco State
University. He retired as a United Airlines maintenance mechanic in 1999 not
before working his way up through the ranks. First working on DC6 and DC7
power plants to the Boeing - 720, 727 and the DC8 jet engines. Mr. Hooks then
became the Maintenance Procedure Planer then moved into management as the
maintenance Base Supervisor at San Francisco International. Otto then got his
dream job at United when he moved into the Test Cell running and troubleshooting
problems on some of the most advanced jet engines for airliners such as the
Boeing 727, 757, 767, 747 and the DC10, gaining a vast knowledge on such
power plants preparing him for his work with the Bay Area Black Pilots Association
conferred membership as Advanced Practitioner in Workplace and Organizations by the Association for
Conflict Resolution based on substantial experience and training and the recommendations of clients,
colleagues, and ADR program administrators.Dale has also done substantial work in collaborative problem-
solving and public policy facilitation. These projects have included facilitating a major urban public policy
initiative in citizen-based budgeting, facilitating merger negotiations among 501(c) (3) charitable
organizations, and facilitating work among state-court judges, court staff, and lawyers and other community
stakeholders to develop ADR programs within their courts. She works frequently in settings, including
court cases, where the number of people and the nature of issues involved require careful process
planning to ensure quality participation among all interested people and organizations. Dale served on the
Michigan Supreme Court 1998 Dispute Resolution Task Force, and is a past chair of the ADR Section of
the State Bar of Michigan. Dale currently serves on the Executive Committee of the ADR Section of the
Grand Rapids Bar Association and is a volunteer mediator for the Dispute Resolution Center of West
Michigan. She is a past president of the GRBA where she currently serves on the committee supporting
the Association’s charitable foundation, the Justice Foundation of West Michigan. Dale has recently
concluded two years as Visiting Professor in Ethics and Professionalism at the Thomas M. Cooley Law
School. Among her awards, in 2006 Dale was conferred the Distinguished Service Award from the ADR
Section of the State Bar, for significant contributions to the field of ADR; in 2003 she received the George
N. Bashara, Jr. Award from the ADR Section of the State Bar in recognition of exemplary service to the
section and its members, and the Trailblazer Award from the Dispute Resolution Center of West Michigan
for leadership in community conflict resolution; and in 2002 and 2003 she received the Michael S. Barnes
Award from Legal Services of West Michigan in recognition of exemplary contribution to the provision of
free legal services to the poor and elderly, the Tribute Award from the Grand Rapids YWCA for her
professional accomplishments and service to the community, and she was named by the Grand Rapids
Business Journal as one of the most influential women in West Michigan. Dale’s articles as co-author

Is a native of West Michigan and received her early ballet training in the Cecchetti
Ballet , Colorado State Ballet and The Cleo Parker Robinson dance ensemble.
While a student at Western Michigan University, she received her teacher training in
the Vaganova syllabus under Jurgen Schneider. Her teaching credits include work
in European Music and Montessori schools. She partnered in business at Dance
Arts Accademy in Traverse City and has instructed for the School of the Grand
Rapids Ballet, Grand Rapids Civic Theatre and Wealthy Theatre. She continues to
outreach in various programs in the public, private and charter schools.

Automotive Network, Andrew is also a Core Team Member of the Michigan’s Next Great Companies
initiative. He has served on the Steel Service Center Institute’s Governmental Affairs Council, and worked
closely with the Michigan Business and Professional Association and Grand Valley State University. and
fundraising for Metro Health Hospital, the Jewish Federation of Grand Rapids, DA Blodgett for Children,
Grand Valley State University, and Congregation Ahavas Israel. Andrew also shares a passion for
aviation, and is a student pilot pursuing his private pilot’s license. He currently resides in Grand Rapids,
MI, with his fiancée Elizabeth Scheibe, their four cats and two dogs.


Dale Ann Iverson, Secretary: Is founder and principal of JustMediation PLC, a
professional corporation offering dispute resolution and collaboration services.
Dale mediates through private referral and court and agency-connected ADR
programs nationally and state-wide. She is an approved mediator in numerous
Michigan circuit courts, the Michigan Department of Civil Rights, the EEOC, the U.S.
Department of Education, and the U. S. District Court for the Western District of
Michigan. Building on her 19-year practice as a trial lawyer before devoting her
work exclusively to dispute resolution, she mediates extensively in a wide range of
matters. Dale also works in a variety of workplaces and organizations, including
corporations, churches, and colleges, to resolve conflict. In 2004, Dale was
Born in Nassau, Bahamas Mr. Johnson as a performer and teacher, has reached
hundreds of thousands of people of all ages, from inner-city youth to world-
renowned political leaders. His dance studies include work with the critically acclaim
Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, New York Conservatory, Broadway Dance
Center, Steps on Broadway and the world famous Dance Theater of Harlem. In 1988,
Mr. Johnson joined the Dance Theatre of Harlem’s professional company, quickly
becoming one of its leading dancers. He has worked with internationally renowned
choreographers such as Agnes de Mille, Glen Tetley, Michael Smuin, Billy Wilson,
Louis Johnson, Garth Fagan and Alonzo King, and performed works by George
Balanchine, Alvin Ailey, Valerie Bettis, John McFall and Robert North. Mr. Johnson
has given command performances for Nelson Mandela, Vice President Al Gore, Her
Andrew Samrick, Director: President, Simplicity Tactics
manufacturing execution and organizational development. With a strong focus on
team play and results-oriented rewards, Samrick developed a model of tactical
execution which received national acclaim. After a decade of leadership with the Mill
Steel Company, Samrick formed Simplicity Tactics, a corporate crisis and turnaround
practice assisting clients throughout North America in developing and implementing
market expansion, cost reduction, and other high-priority initiatives. Mr. Samrick’s
expertise has led to numerous leadership roles in professional and trade

where he shared his experties with hundreds of inner-city students in San Francisco, Oakland and
Berkley California. Mr. Hooks is also a member of the Negro Airmen International (NAI) and participates
each year in NAI's Annual Memorial Weekend Fly-In in Tuskeege AL. The weekend activities included:
aerobatic flight expositions, free airplane rides, the Annual Aviation Career Enhancement (ACE) Camp
for middle school students interested in aviation and the annual induction ceremony for the NAI
African-American General Aviation Museum. Mr. Hooks Has Been An Aircraft Owner For 37 Years.
